About This Project

The life of each one of us starts “in medias res” (in the middle of the events in latin): we arrive in a world that has already a history, welcomed by parents that have their own past and when will be gone everything will still continue. There are more things we don’t know than we can learn, we are born in pieces and we try to reconstruct ourselves for a lifetime, without ever completing the mosaic. We all are archeologist of ourselves and of the word that surrounds us. To live without being crushed by the weight of what has come before is for sure an heroic act. Nevertheless the stories that begin in medias res are the one that we like the most, that’s why we have to pick the fragments and build our own destiny. I’ve realized these works with the liquid silver gelatin emulsion tecnique on marble and stone. Each one is an unique piece. They are real photosculptures.
