Velvet and violet

Velvet and violet is an ongoing project born with the beginning of my assisted reproduction journey. Hormonal treatments inevitably produce changes to our system and it is not possible to identify in advance what percentage they will affect your body and mind. The project was therefore born to respond to my fear of perceiving my body (and mind) as altered and therefore the fear of losing contact with myself, of not recognizing myself. Furthermore, photography represents the tool with which I am able to interact and dialogue with my deepest “me”. In the project I place myself at the center of a struggle between the artificial world and the natural world, which gradually transforms into an exchange, to the point of eliminating any form of separation between the 2 worlds in an attempt to reduce the distance between them and therefore reconnect with nature despite the artificial process to which I am subjected.
