Love Letter / Family Album

My grandfather has been in love with my grandmother all life long. I found lots of letters he wrote to her when he was traveling for work. Even after her death, he kept signing the letters he wrote to us with both their names: “Anna e Alfonso”.

I wish for myself love like this.

This photo is part of the on-going project “Family Album” which consists of collages of photos, documents, and letters belonging to my family.

It’s an intimate series that deals with time and memory and narrates an updated version of the story of my family, creating new scenarios, and suggesting new possibilities and unexpected things to happen.
