The Priest

Along the narrow and impervious rocky path that led us to the entrance of the 12th century rock church carved on top of a mountain overlooking the entire valley in northern Ethiopia, the elderly Orthodox priest, Illuminated by the first light of the sun, with the crucifix in his hand blesses like every morning the beginning of a new day.
