About This Project

Emmanuel Monzon

This photographic work is presented through the generic title “Urban Sprawl, Emptiness“, imposed by the seriality and the repetition of the subjects of the author’s predilection: the deserts of the American West and their poetic and chaotic processions of motorway interchanges, cities without centers, residential zones without inhabitants.

This new series, delayed several times because of the harshness of the pandemic, carries as a subheading “I don’t want to go where I’m going, I just want to live where I am”.
