All seven submitted photographs are selected images from a larger project called “Just Another Summer.”
Just Another Summer is an eye-witness account, visual documentation, and street photography series of New York’s awakening after months of a citywide lockdown. This series shines a light of hope through a dark chapter in our history and time of uncertainty. It ultimately refutes the opinion “New York is dead forever” by proving to disbelievers that New York is far more than just a place. These images exhibit New York as a symbol of perseverance, tenacity, and how united we can overcome anything.
The complete series will be published as my debut zine, scheduled for release by Spring 2021.
