About This Project

Cinzia Romanin

While since the dawn of time humans have relied on divine fate, sciences have recently made us realize how much our actual choices are going to define our future world. Faced with the dilemma of losing our immediate comfort or our lasting well-being provided by our ecosystems, we could then ask ourselves which path are we going to choose. In times of environmental occurrences, pandemics, wars, and economic and social crises, how are our societies going to improve their resilience?
Could our future decisions lead to an opportunity for change? Will we be able to achieve transcendence? By observing the metamorphoses of natural, urban and social landscapes, this project aims to highlight the paradox between infinite growth and limited resources, between urban sprawl and nature preservation, between innovations and uncontrolled technologies to create a ref election on our future and past decisions.
